I have just returned from a great lunch at one of Marbella’s “hard to get a table” restaurants, it’s not really a restaurant it is a bar specializing in seafood.
Pepe, the owner of BIGOTE, has created an ambience that is second to none in the area, where everybody clamours for a table because of the atmosphere and freshness of the seafood. We often agree to take an early table promising to release once the later Spanish diners appear…..result everybody happy and maximization of the tables available.
Local dignitaries, professionals and holidaymakers from Madrid fill the bar in July and August. We locals get OUR bar back in September to sample great Tuna, wonderful prawns of all varieties and fantastic clams, one of the pleasures of living on the Costa del Sol.
Owning a property in Marbella or San Pedro gives one an opportunity to sample the simple things in life, whether rambling through the tiny back streets or in the wonderful beach restaurants that are filled year round.
