March 17th – We think in Ireland we celebrate St. Patricks Day…and we do.!
There is a parade down the main streets of most towns and the colour green is everywhere to be seen. However, St Patricks Day has now become a worldwide phenomenon and has almost taken on a life of its own.
One day to celebrate the Patron Saint of Ireland is not enough..and now we talk about St. Patrick’s Week.!
And sure why not, isn’t it good to celebrate just for the sake of it…as they say in Spain… Viva St Patrick !
Marbella and the Costa del Sol are not going to be left out of the celebrations either !
This weekend Marbella turns Green…the St. Patricks Festival is being held over two days..Saturday 18th March and Sunday 19th March on the Marbella Sea Front at the “Glorietta de Fontanilla” near to the Tourist Office.
From 13.00hrs until 19.00hrs (at least) there will be lots of Guinness, Irish Whiskey, Tapas & Cheeses and, of course, Irish music and dancing !
Dress up or down, wear the green, join in the fun…and don’t be surprsed if you even see a Leprechuan!
(You will know the Leprechauns are about when the Marbella Arch turns Green !!!!!)
